Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The Global Agronomy Research Journal (GARJ) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all stages of the publication process. It is essential that all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—adhere to the following principles to prevent any form of malpractice and to ensure the integrity of scholarly work.
1. Duties of Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors are expected to submit original works only. Any use of the work or ideas of others must be properly cited and acknowledged. Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable.
- Multiple Submissions: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Submitting the same work to different journals is considered unethical publishing behavior.
- Accuracy and Data Integrity: Authors must present accurate data in their research and ensure that results are clearly articulated. Falsification, manipulation, or misrepresentation of data is strictly prohibited.
- Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial or otherwise, that might affect the research or interpretation of their findings.
2. Duties of Editors
- Fair Play: Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts based on their academic merit, without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic background, or political philosophy.
- Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher, as necessary.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where they have conflicts of interest. They should ensure that all ethical guidelines are followed, and they must act to prevent any malpractice.
3. Duties of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Peer reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share them or discuss them with others except as authorized by the editor.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive feedback to improve the manuscript. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should point out relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any significant similarities or overlaps with other published work.
Thank you for contributing to the integrity of our journal.
